An admin level user may have access to add CPT or ICD nicknames.
Adding a CPT Nickname
- Log in to the Charge Capture by MDTech web portal and navigate in the menu to Administration > Charge Capture > CPT Nicknames.
- Enter the nickname and the procedure code that you would like linked to the nickname in their specified fields and then click "Save Nickname" - this nickname will then be added to the list below and providers can search for the CPT code by nickname.
- You may remove an existing nickname by checking the box on the left side of the nickname and then clicking "Remove Selected".
Adding an ICD Nickname
- Log in to the Charge Capture by MDTech web portal and navigate in the menu to Administration > Charge Capture > ICD10 Nicknames.
- To begin select "Add Nickname" - a box will then pop up where you will enter the nickname and then search for the desired ICD10 code. Click on the ICD10 code you would like to nickname and then click "Save". This nickname will then be added to the list below and providers can search for the ICD code by nickname.
- You may remove an existing nickname by checking the box on the left side of the nickname and then clicking "Remove Selected".
