Census filters provide the ability to narrow down the census to more relevant patients.
- To manage filters, select the funnel icon in the bottom right corner of the census
Filters
- Locations: specify which location's patients should appear on the census
- Assigned To: filter based on provider assignment; assigned to Me (your patients), assigned to Anyone, Unassigned, or Disregard. We recommend leaving this set to Disregard for the most comprehensive census
Sorting
- Group By: specify how patients are grouped on the census. Options include: Admit Date, Last Consult Time, Location, Name, Payor, Room/Bed, and Unit
- Order Direction: order census patients based on the Group By value: Ascending or Descending

- A preview of how patient information will appear on the census based on Patient Display Settings
Patient Display Settings
- Name Display: Last Name, First Name -or- First Name, Last Name
- Room/Account/MRN/Location: In addition to patient name, date of birth, and admit date, choose which value should be shown on the census
